This lad seems a little excessive in what we need but it's good to have squad depth.

Once our 2 wingers get tired after 60 or 70 we can bring on another 2 who are equally as rapid. Sounds good to me.

I dont think we'll play with a 10 but if we did I could see one of those playing there. Imagine if Lauriente or Mayenda was in the 10 running at you with the others either side <cheers>

Also think Isidor will be suited more in the prem in an underdog side.

In the championship, defences sat back much deeper and we couldn’t break them down. They won’t do that v us in the prem.

He may be more suited to playing in a counter attacking team but I’m unsure where so many of our fans are getting this idea that our players will be better in the PL than they were at championship level, especially Dan Neil. He’s had 3 years of championship football in which he hasn’t really stood out and people reckon he’s going to turn into Toni Kroos as soon as he steps onto the pitch at a higher level.

As for Isidor he’s going to be up against the likes of VVD, Saliba, Murillo, Van De Ven etc who are all rapid.. I’m sure he’d rather be playing against George Edmondson and Shane Duffy :emoticon-0102-bigsm

This season will be a massive step up for some of these lads, I think if a few of them really step up and hold their own we’ll do well. Not too sure on Isidor personally because I think he’s very rash in front of goal at times but Mayenda I have real high hopes for. He would be my starting striker if we don’t sign someone ready to hit the ground running.

I'm gonna put my neck on the line and i'll be wrong but I think his data showing how good he is in and around the box, the fact he played striker a lot at Lorient and his goal tally from last season, I can see him being used as a striker and on both wings too. Doesn't make much sense otherwise
Shooting wise yeah.

he hasn’t got the movement or physicality to play centre forward in the prem

I'm fine with being overstocked there. We saw how screwed we were when we didn't have back up this season. Include AFCON in this and I think five cover the two, especially if this lad can play CF and as a 10 too is probably fine. May be that we think Talbi needs a little time too.

Tbf his data shows that hes very much a touchline winger who very rarely gets into the box at all - cutting in to either outside the box in front of goal or into the side of the 18 yard box after beating a man.

Unless we are basing this off his ability as a raw talent breaking through at 21/22 years old, I agree he could be utilized across the front 3 but I actually prefer him as a left winger to adingra. I don't mind the signing I just don't know why we'd sign both.

I more mean his goals from in and around the box, maybe i'm wrong but it's just how i see it

I do like how we are adding speed across the team though. Diarra and Sadiki are quick for central midfielders, Lauriente, Adingra and Talbi are freakishly quick. Last season we only really had Isidor, Mayenda and Mundle who offered top end speed.

I guess if I wildly extrapolate from the Shields game I would prefer him in the team instead of Browne in that 10 role:emoticon-0102-bigsm

(agree though)

Maybe he was on some successful dribbles list in Ligue un but he never really had a standout season, his first at sassuolo had him touted at one of the best wingers in serie A.

In the same way I was sure isidor was a striker, I feel pretty confident Lauriente is coming as a left winger - and that's what's confusing me.

Adingra cannot play on the right.
Mundle we haven't really seen play well there.

I can't work out how they're going to balance game time.

Adingra was used on the right loads in his first season at Brighton mind wasn’t he? Sure he played there pretty much every game he played as Mitoma was left and March was injured
