Rigg will want to be part of this 100%. Imagine working your bollox off to help your team to the Premier league only to be bounced back down to the championship. Very demotivating.
Tbh i'm getting bored of the Mika speculation already haha, just gonna see what happens, would just like a striker target sorted for portugal i'd say
Feel like ****…just want a ‘here we go’ tweet from Fab Romano concerning a future player signing for us.
I don’t think it’s insulting at all personally, he was a passenger for certainly the final 5 months of the season but arguably a few earlier too. He’s not good enough to start in the PL right now so it’s whether or not he’d rather be a regular in good champ team who are expecting promotion or play a bit part here which realistically will be 20 minute cameos. Both offer great experience for the lad but I think he’ll he kept here to show what he can do on the big stage, if he looks impressive in those cameos with less pressure on him his value only increases. If he did go to someone like a Southampton and played in a dominant team every week and won promotion it wouldn’t be the end of the world at all.
Obviously I was elated when we won promotion, but my thinking was at least we'll have loads of money if/when we go down. Along with a lot of others, I'm now thinking we could actually make a fking good fist of this and surprise everyone. It's the feeling I got when we got thumped off Chelsea in our first game back in the prem in 99/2000, but then ended up 2nd at Xmas.
I think Rigg would learn and progress more as a player staying here and being around the higher calibre of players we’re bringing in. And because I think he’s class anyway it wouldn’t take him long to get up with it and ruffle a few new signings feathers.
wouldn't hold much stock in them saying that, just depends on if we are happy to pay what they want or not
