I might get pelters but I think Mikautadze is probably beyond our capabilities at this juncture, we got Enzo because of RLB and Diarra is a young player still developing his game, Mikautadze has played European football now and unless the financial package he gets significantly trumps what Roma or others will offer him, I don't see him coming here, I trust the club know what they're doing however and perhaps they're privy to some external factor we're not fully aware of.

Money talks. Ruben Neves left Porto as the captain of a CL team to join Wolves in the championship so anything is possible lol especially with PL money.

Just off the top of my head Evanilson also left Porto for B’mouth. Sarr and Ndiaye left Marseille to go to Palace and Everton. Milenvokic went to Forest from Fiorentina think he’d been with them a while whilst they were regulars for European football too

This reads to me that the club think it would be too hard a deal to pull off
Just personal opinion but I don't think there's that much difference between the two in terms of quality. Put Abline in the Lyon side and he'd score a similar amount to Mika, put Mika in the Nantes side and he probably scores similar amount to Abline. Both good players and i'm happy with either.

I would tend to disagree just because mikautadze got 17 in 20 in a relegated Metz side the season before last. He certainly has a more defined end product but that's natural with more games played.

Look I've got no idea who this Jimmy is and had never even heard of him until 2-3 days ago but he seemed pretty adamant the club really want Mikautadze didn't he?

Not saying we should all believe everyone on the internet. Like I say I've never followed him.

Very sceptical of performative internet ITKs who like to bounce between teasing vaguely and making grand and specific claims. Very, very sceptical indeed.

Those are all exceptions though and Neves goes back to 2017. Read my post again, I'm hardly saying it's impossible, just highly unlikely. There are probably hundreds of transfer to the premier league every summer, how many would meet the threshold of playing at a big european club and moving to a newly promoted one, let's say in the last 10 years? You could probably count them on one hand, two if we're being kind.

Me too but this is why this one's intrigued me. He stopped being cryptic and came out very openly and specifically.

Sounds crazy but I think that Metz team beats last seasons Nantes side, I love football but they made me question that:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Just watched an Abline highlight video after watching a Mikautadze one. I know highlight videos arent as useful as watching them.

But it seems to me Abline might be better suited to the premier league. A bit more physical and with room to develop?
