We've been linked with seemingly everyone but the common theme is that we're not keen to overpay just because people think we have masses of money. Long term it's a good ploy otherwise we'd be having to add 10-20% on every signing as selling teams would know we'd just pay it but short term there's been quite a bit of frustration with us holding on to numbers just below asking prices... if you believe the ITK's and papers...
I don't mind. After 14 years of nothingness under Ashley we've had 9 months in which our new owners have changed a million things behind the scenes and also signed a new GK, entire back line and a quality CM. That's not a bad start!
Oh and also Chris Wood, but hey we stayed up so he was worth it.
