Brilliant player and going to the right club....can't wait to watch him rip defenses apart for fun.

Yeah... Hope he doesn't meet expectations. Last thing we all need is City to get a world class striker.
I think he will, the one thing I felt Man City were missing was a target man, and he's one of the best available. Don't worry too much though, he has a bit of an injury history of the type that I believe will frequently recur, think Andy Carroll.

I'm actually curious which club is the bigger draw. Obviously Man U still a famous club, and some footballers may be old enough to remember when they would regularly win trophies. A well respected manager moving in and not exactly paupers.

On the other hand, Newcastle has a lot of money and their kit vaguely looks like Juventus.

Joking aside, I do think Newcastle might actually be a bigger draw for some players. Someone who wants to be there at the beginning of the revolution- especially if they think the team can be built around them.

We landed gamereas in 19th in January having won 1 game and being 5 points a drift, so I'm confident they'll be able to get more on at least his level.

I'm really hoping nufc pinches a player from under the noses of a big club because it'll make a statement.

The weird reality is that they arguably are to many players, as they would be to just about everyone else now in the league bar City and Pool who are currently miles ahead for the time being. I doubt many give a **** about history of a club, money is almost always gonna be the primary factor, followed by a team's chances of success.

Trippier and Guimaraes both joined at a time their future in the Prem wasn't guaranteed, one was still in the CL and in a La Liga title race and the other was being chased by Arsenal, the fact Newcastle's Prem future is now secured for next season I'd imagine a lot more players of even higher pedigree will be happy to join this summer. I think they'll make one or multiple "Robinho" signings and nab one or two from under the noses of the big six, wouldn't even rule out raiding one or two of the big six.
