The subs were very uninspiring. I'm unconvinced by elliot Anderson. We are lacking depth but it will come in time. I trust the board. They've delivered so far and our latest signing looks phenomenal. Had liverpool on strings.

There's obviously nobody available that they want. They've rinsed the pot on Isak.

These people wanted to spend £33m on Ekitike. Then wouldn’t compete with Soton for Mara. I’m not sure I trust them. We could’ve got Isak for that amount we paid before the season began.

Progress is there but some of the actions have been a bit ****.

Gakpo is a massive upgrade on Almiron let alone Murphy. But we’re ****ing about offering £35m for Harrison - why? Tielemans at £25m would be immense, but we’re offering £45m for Maddison.

Im sorry mate I just don’t understand the methods. 1st September Eales needs to be all over this **** and sort it out.

Daily Fail saying we're going for Tielemans now.

Seems very late in the day, but Krafht getting ****ed shows we need depth, would be very happy, but don't see it happening

Yeah, this is the point. Forest, Southampron and others have shown you don't need to break the bank to upgrade on those type players. They have brought some people in for fairly low transfer fees that would be way better options than Murphy, Wood & Longstaff.

It could be that the players who are available, while an upgrade on Murphy, Wood and Longstaff, are a downgrade on the players we want in that position. We're in the uncharted territory of looking at a plan over 3 or 4 transfer windows rather than not even having a plan for 1 window. Those upgrades available now might be hard to shift in January or next summer when we start to bring in the quality we want.

I think they are limiting purchases to players that fit the bigger picture rather than short term fixes, with the obvious exception of Woods who was bought because none of this plan happened anywhere near as quickly if we got relegated last year.

Not sure I get the logic of waiting til January. We know blatantly what the issues are. What does waiting another 4 months achieve?

Maybe it will put us in the position of getting the players we want rather than players that will do? No idea if that is true, but feel they will be learning lessons by how hard it is to shift 'players that did do and now don't' from the club once the players we want become available.

This is a short window in terms of league games due to the world cup. So perhaps waiting until January to see how we are doing - and who is performing well or injured at the world cup - might give us a better view on who to go for.

Plus the likes of Tielemans will then only be a few months away from being a free transfer, so easier to negotiate a decent deal.

The right people, in their minds, aren't available? Tielemans is one I'd be going all out for now but perhaps they don't fancy him?

I'm going with the flow. They've got everything right so far so won't panic. If we tumble to the foot of the table due to injuries, then I'd be questioning the approach. This is a long game though. We will get where we want to get to hut we cannot and should not rush
