No it actually is that figure. It’s actually a lot more. Depending on the structure of the deals.

There was an article done by I think the athletic which says that technically we could spend upwards of 400m.

Honestly the only thing hindering us is commercial deals.

The 400m is over 3 years mind.
I’d like to see that article. We have no money coming in from sales, we have income of less than 200m a year, we have no idea what commercial deals are incoming (and they will be regulated), our wage bill is going to rise massively, etc. We can spend a lot for the next 3 years, but then what? Without CL, we will hit a brick wall financially.

Yeah I take what Jordan says with a pinch of salt. Although I agree with the essence, we were in decent financial health compared with most. We just need new sponsorship deals to boost revenues.

Success based revenues (especially CL qualification) are certainly not guaranteed.

But my main point is that the way FFP is structured, it simply helps those at the top stay at the top. How is that 'fair'?
Football has never been fair. That’s the choice with the system we have.

I just had the ****test day in a long time. Any good news lads?

Not a lot, I'm afraid.

We broke our transfer record for one of the best young strikers in the World, Alexander Isak. We are still likely to sign Pedro, and Maddison has similarly picked up an "injury" as it has been strongly suggested we will sign 3 players - this CF, a RW and a CM - before the window shuts.

So, yeah, more of the same really.

Great that soothes me

I **** you not. We can do that. If you go to the beginning of this actual thread and go through it there.

Might as well ask why you can't freeze ice in an oven. It was designed to do the complete opposite. FFP was never meant to be fair. It was meant to protect Europe's 'elite' from anyone who may wish to invade their private party (like us)!
