Current reports suggest that we went back in with a bid for Harrison. Obviously this was rejected.

Soo we bid for a player, it gets rejected, we offer slightly more it gets rejected, we bid for other players in the same position that follow the same bid low reject bid slightly higher rejected, then we go back for the first player with a similar bid.

We appear to be either a) amateurish or b) very naive

Maybe it's a long game. Identify our long term targets, turn the players' heads now with low bids ro show we are interested, let them watch us improve and think "I could have been there", they become unsettled at their current clubs and push for a transfer, we go back in future transfer windows and get our players.

And watch as they get goals and assists for their current teams thus showing their worth to them and increasing their value
