Maddison,Paqueta and Sesko incoming according my sauces.

Unlikely we'll get Pacqueta now. Apparently he had a big falling out with Bruno's lass and they're no longer on good terms. It may even be the reason we started being interested in Maddison.

Paqueta IN 100% guaranteed - and I won't hear another word from a anyone on the matter!

Sesko - his agents been in town - nailed on

Maddison - 50/50 but we wouldn't be trying if it wasn't possible.

Shelvey - a god amongst mere mortals and the best player to play in the black and white stripes of Nott's County when he finishes his career

We need to make a statement signing like. None of this pissing about, just gan in and pay the cash.

Nope, first Summer of new owners, need to stand firm. That said, in the current climate Maddison is definitely a £50m player. He's better than Grealish (IMO). I wouldn't go above that, mind, as I think the world needs a transfer reality check.

FWIW I think Maddison is another attempt to solve the RW 'issue'. He'd start, pushing Almiron to sub and then Murphy would likely be sold. I dont think Maddison is being brought in for CM. If we were that keen on a CM, we'd be doing more to get Tielemans or Paqueta.

Phil McNulty thinks we'll finish 9th, wasn't expectation too much from him as he normally predicts us relegation. He's also been really originally and predicted the 3 that went up will all go down.

And still nothing on Maddison. Meh.

To be fair, 9th is optimistic unless we add players to the attack. We're still 3 top end players away from even challenging for 6th.

Transfer meeting with Staveley, Eales, Ashworth and a few others took place at the weekend and Staveley has personally guaranteed Howe 2 attacking players as a bare minimum before the deadline.

Nothing like optimistic. In the second half of the season we were 3rd in form, and if you remove the first 4 games of last season we'd have finished 7th.

Fair enough, though I think it's a mistake to think that form will continue but I take your point. I'm sure the goal is 7th and it's not as if Wolves or Leicester have strengthened.

I was believing and agreeing until that last paragraph. Now, you're nothing but a phoney ITK.
