West Ham signing Onana & in talks with Cornet. The teams were wanting to challenge next season leaving us behind a bit at the minute (minus Leicester)

It’s almost guaranteed that Wilson will miss a chunk of important games this season, which leaves us heavily reliant on Wood & talent aside if he gets injured/suspended who then? The first 11 I’m happy with, it’s the squad depth that worries me, ideally we’d have had the squad we all wanted by the forest game but that’s out of the question now.

According to our fans Cornet is rubbish anyway so a bullet dodged.

They're wrong like but we're all used to that.

That could be the start of a merry go round. Still think Paqueta and Sesko will be done in the next 4.5 weeks before the window closes. £40m offered for Maddison is all a game to try and get Paqueta cheaper...

If we manage a miracle and sign Maddison our midfield will go from being one of the worst in the league under Bruce, to our safest area of the pitch

I think we should just wade in there and offer the 60m. Of course it's a lot but if you compare to other deals across the league and the fact he is pretty young, has good prem experience with a high output for goals and assists if the chance is there then go get him. A midfield of Big Joe, Bruno and Maddison would be off the scale good

Of course. We should more often than not offer the selling clubs asking price.
It's once in a blue moon you get a stellar deal for considerably less than is expected.

Maddison is one of their best players, you match their price.

I'm starting to think this is posturing in order to get Paqueta a bit cheaper. Maddison is probably a better player though and with the prem experience is a safer bet. Who knows though.

If we got Maddison, other teams playing us will look and think they have Max, Wilson, Bruno, Maddison, Trippier, Botman.. and know they’re in for a game regardless of who we play.. that extra creative attacker makes or breaks our season in my view. All it takes is a Bruno getting injured.

How dare you miss Big Joe off that list !!!

Article from June -
Leicester City [€311m]
The club now have a total debt of £267m, with £180m of that owed to King Power or the chairman. Could be a lot of those clubs who wanted certain rules forced upon us are now suffering from the repercussions of it...

Schmeichel seems to be done at £850k
Fofana - £85m suggest Chelsea fee
Maddison - £60m suggest NUFC fee
Tielmans - £30m suggest Arsenal (one year on contract)
Barnes - £50m Transfermarket valuation (£28.8m but always nearly double their fees)

£225m all together for the other 4 - doesn't quite cover their debts but I'd imagine there will be at least 2 of them on the move on top of Schmeichel possibly a third but Tielmans likely to be one of them as they need to cash in on him this year as h's out of contract next year and could lose him on a free in 6 months.
I dont think debt is the issue as their owners support them and debt to chairman probably will never get called in. Its more likely FFP as their salary costs relative to turnover are one of highest in PL.
Vardy now being monitored by Man Utd according to BBC.

Christ, It's going to be like Dads Army at Old Trafford if they get him. If they play 3 up top they could easily have a combined age over 100

Probably due to their performance last season - banking on European football of some kind and not getting it but I presume their owners felt like they could strike another in-house sponsorship deal to cover any shortfalls but then the Saudi's turned up and it's not allowed anymore...
