Newcastle will make a move for Burnley's English winger Dwight McNeil, 22, if Leeds United refuse to lower their £35m asking price for their English attacker Jack Harrison, 25. (Sun)

Gah, don't want Burnley person! Feck it, just pay the money for Harrison!

This kid also plays on the left.

Why are we trying to sign left wingers.

Just because.

Burnley were a bit crap that's why they went down, we don't need their players.... this concerns me that we might bid for that Weghorst clown if we get very desperate for a striker.

Tbf we signed Robbo from Hull when they were relegated and Gini from you guys.

We alsp fobbed Spurs off with Sissoko for £30m LOL.

Tbf there's always some pilfering to be done from relegated teams, but I've never really rated McNeil, and he'll be a really lame alternative to Harrison.

He’s a strange one. Looked very good when burst into scene, but seems to mainly play Lw as a left footed which is a bit old school these days. Bit of an old fashioned stick to the line and whip crosses in, but how we would do as a RW cutting inside, in a team not managed by Dyche.. might be a lot better.

Again is Howe scared to get bigger players or something?

I'm going to need to press the big red reset button if we're signing some plodding nobody like Dwight McNeill. That's a ****ing Ashley signing. In fact, it's not even an Ashley signing, because McNeill has less chance of getting sell-on value.

Trossard is slightly better, I suppose. Solid performer. But he's an inverted left winger, right footer and almost never plays on the right. I don't personally think selling ASM is the way to go, that again would bring sharper focus on Howe's inability to deal with the more maverick players.
