Nothings changed. We desperately need a right winger and a striker, then we equally desperately need to ship out Murphy and Gayle. Manquillo is probably surplus to requirements now. If anyone offers for Fede he's probably gone too, we keep Kell Watts as 4th choice (Lascelles remains 5th).
The only position I'm willing to give the benefit to is CM. I think it should line up as Joelinton, Bruno and Willock left to right, with Anderson, Shelvey and Longstaff as backup. But you'd have to be blind/mental to think Almiron/Murphy and Wilson/Wood is good enough at this level.

My only question mark on Diaby is everyone has him pegged as a left winger? I know Jacobs has now been claiming he's "open to the move" and he'd be a massive coup. But I agree there'll be one big arrival - probably RW as well, that seems to be the position Howe has earmarked as our most urgent - and a young striker. Then it'll be "can we find one last decent deal" probably in CM towards the end of the window, at which point the Saudis will pay £40m for two more shares and we'll buy Paqueta.

Tbf Lewis played very well away at Liverpool then he had an injury.
I'd rather see if he can come good than use Dummett who's a great pro, doesn't exactly set the world on fire and he's not going to get any better.
