I really don't get this FFP crap.

If Barca are in such financial difficulty, how can they buy Lewandowski and Raphinha, and offer Dembele a new contract, while also refusing to sell De Jong?

They've only recouped about £22m in sales, but have paid out something like £95m.

More the point, some reports suggest Lewandowski alone will be on something like £30m+ in wages per year.

I just don't understand it. It seems like the total opposite of 'fair play', with certain clubs being looked after by the rules.

They sold a load of future revenue for money now. 10% of La liga tv revenue. Looking to sell another 25% as well as 49% of their marketing business to generate more funds.

At the moment, they can’t register any of their new signings though because salary doesn’t mean ffp rules in Spain. So unless they move on a few more will be issues.

If their revenues actually drop then they will likely be ****ed then.

Yeah, selling off future revenue streams for a bit of cash in hand now seems pretty desperate to me. Not a sustainable plan, especially when they are pissing £millions on players like Raphinha.

the only think which will save them long term is a super league

That’s effectively what Ashley did with his 10 year season tickets.

They will struggle to maintain it though.
