Nah. I’ll be chilling it in the middle of nowhere in France. Drinking copious amounts of Leffe and Hoegaarden and looking at the stars through my telescopeJust wait till he breaks up mate, he'll be like Spud from Trainspotting![]()

Life’s hard mate.Everyone think everyone else gets it easy, but nothing is ever easy.
I assume you mean its gone oh so quiet, rather than the more disturbing alternative that our squad are all having fits demented squawking.
Yes, but 3 early signings was a very solid start, as long as we can a striker in by the season start, I'm happy.
I'm currently debating on quitting tbh. Spent the weekend with my brother, he has the same qualifications as me and earns more than twice the amount. Money isn't everything but it does feel a touch like having the p..s taken out of you. I could work 20-25 weeks a year and make more, beginning to think I should. No other industry gets 13 weeks off a year.

**** money it's whether you get any job satisfaction whatsoever. If you get any job satisfaction these days then you're winning in life
I want to agree and for a decade have done but it does get tricky to have job satisfaction when your background is statistics and whilst you are being told to your face that we're in this together and we all have to tighten our belts but know through easily obtainable impirical data that you're being shafted financially and have been for 10-12 years, and it's getting worse. It doesn't make you feel very valued
I've toyed with it before but other things like company mobiles, working from home, etc. It all adds up. Not going to change anything for this coming year (wouldn't want to just bail on classes) but it's certainly something I'm going to be considering. The gap between what I earn in the public sector and what i could earn in the private sector has become too big chasm for ideas of "vocation" and job satisfaction to fill. Retiring 5+ years earlier and with more money would also be pretty satisfying tbph.
Anyhoo, sorry I've derailed this thread a bit.
We're getting Pacquetta btw. Not Isak or Diaby though sadly and we need those more.
I'm starting a new job and it's a complete new ball game. I'm going after big money and migration, but if I don't like the job I'll just quit or be asks to quit no doubt...
If you're not happy and you can change something then roll the dice, but I guess many people are so financially dependent on money coming in that they simply cannot take big risks.
Paqueta? I don't think so personally... They seem according to reports to want a striker and a rw player and Paqueta would cost the entire remaining budget.

He'll not cost 700 billion man![]()
