They must have faith in Shelvey then. Fair enough.

We have to many who can play at RW. I still think Miggy can adapt.

They do and Longstaff.. I suppose if the right player becomes available they would go for them though.

I just feel like one injury to Gamereas and it's the same cms that have never done the business

Think we all share the concern. Nobody would be unhappy with Acensio signing, but we're not going to get his calibre yet so can Eddie get Sean back to pre-Bruce levels? If he can do that, and Shelvey is backup, that's not a terrible place to be.

I still think we will end up with a RW, CF and CM.

Apart from going on an unbeaten streak that prevented Bruno from making his debut for ages once Big Joe dropped in there.

They ground out a few wins, but Levels were far higher with Gamereas running the midfield.

Joelinton could also be injured then what do you do?

Yes I agree if they sign a cm rw and a striker that would be perfect

Longstaff? No not playing with shelvey. If they both play we're ****ed

I was just looking and quoting the factual evidence that was available rather than repeating someone else's thoughts which someone off here told me to do <whistle>

You could look at Steve bruces last 11 games of the season before last where newcastle had a good run, but the reality is Newcastle struggle with shelvey and Longstaff playing in cm.

Anyone thinking replacing Bruno with jonjo or Longstaff won't see a huge drop in the control in games is on glue I'm afraid.

It was noticeable. The quality just lifted when Bruno came in.

Add another quality player to the mix and all of a sudden we have options and cover.

Willock is the one who may step up.

I said throughout the run that Newcastle were grinding out hard fought wins. I think the last few ganes were different.
