When fit he's an upgrade on any of our strikers. I also think that Howe would then rotate DCL and Wilson (with Wood playing as regular back up) to minimise the issue of injuries. DCL is still a good age and anything under 35m would be a very good signing. My issue is that I could see Everton looking for much more than that.

I agree and his stock fell sufficiently enough to allow a club like nufc to take a punt, but by how much... 30 to 40 would be the amount at a guess.

Could Newcastle do better at that price? Probably, but they would be a gamble too.
