Bottom line is it's the clubs job to sell the vision, get the commercial revenues, scout the right players. All this talk of budgets, area, standing, is utterly pointless and irrelevant until 1st September.

Ny only commentary on it thus far based on press and January spend is that there is hopefully money available, and hopefully we're after more Bruno's and less Wood's.

My only additional point is the club has frequently attracted decent players even during some dark times. In short, there's no excuse to not have a decent transfer window and set us up for a comfortable top10 finish with a decent cup run. And that the likes of Wood, Longstaff, Almiron, Fraser, etc., should be rarely seen.

Ekiteke is class mate and Botman is an international cb. Newcastle aren't just giving up and letting them go elsewhere like our previous owner would have months ago.

I see nothing but positives in this that's why this is all very weird.

Newcastle United are currently battling with big clubs... Going after the prizes they want.

Did you use that expert knowledge when you laughed at me and told me I was wrong that the sponsor was fun88?

This is the thing mate you and the rest of this rabble you've assembled have not liked what I've said and are desperate to disprove it, but all I've had so far is people's thoughts and now their curriculum vitae.

All I said this morning is that it's not easy for Newcastle to sign big name players because they have financial constraints, the clubs facilities aren't as good as the clubs they're now competing for players with and the City has a reputation as being a poor place to live. I said I was happy with signing young players.

It was said in response to super scout Roland complaining about trying to sign Ekitike and not overnight.

I stand on my square

I never laughed at you regarding Fun88, I highly doubted it was happening but if truth be told you impressed me with your theory regarding the colours and how you came to your conclusion.

As for Roland and his view on Ekitike. I agree with him to a large degree. I'm not saying he's **** I'm saying he's raw as **** and £30m is a massive gamble on the kid especially with what looks like a lack of commitment with regards the move at this moment in time.

Now me saying the kid is raw let me explain before you jump on it. At times he has a very heavy first touch that gets him trouble, there are times when he gets tackled but the ball lands favourably for him whereas I think in PL he is on his arse rather than his feet. At times he has a very heavy pass, at times he runs into trouble of his own making like ASM does, There's several instances where he goes clean through, past the keeper, free net but doesn't score.

He has potential but he is very raw. He does however drop the shoulder superbly and has decent feet considering his pace. However how much pace will he lose when he bulks up?

Mate we've moved on the area of debate was becoming unclear anyway.

I've made myself clear

Let's just enjoy the bloody window and try to understand the challenges the owners face.

I don't have a rabble - someone did tip me off about the Luke Edwards likeness though <whistle>

The last half dozen pages have been absolutely painful to read... Jesus lads. Give it a rest...

In other opinion: Anyone hassling the owners about lack of signings also needs the Transit van / Moors treatment.

I've been in France for the last week and hardly on here, so I've missed out on all the toy throwing. And it's my birthday today so fack you all.

I thought you’d be after more wood not less given your circumstances?!

<whistle>

OK guys I'm going to offer you all the opportunity of a lifetime.

If you all say I love crepes I will stop being a ****.
