Thing is though, Unless its miles less or miles over, one way or another, there isn't likely to be an outright winner due to the fact there is likely to be loan deals that may turn permanents, deals spread over 5 years, deals that have bolt-ons attached etc etc.

I'm cool with it mate, They'll sign some players. It makes sense to me to have as many in for pre-season as possible but it's not like that kind of radical thinking has happened previously with us. I just want them to get the right type in like they did in Jan and not the wrong ones. Always hate the close season. Too little football made all the worse with a FIFA **** show breaking up the season in November, and I think it's made worse by social media in this day and age.
I have my doubts about how good Botman will be - Think he'll turn out to be either Woodgate good or Bramble bad. Time will tell. As for Ekitike - I fear this one will be a Lomanu Lualua/ Sammy Ameobi type thing but again - Top clubs all seem to be sniffing about. I think it's telling none have bid for him though.

No the bar is and was £60m. He jumped on Edwards coat tails and just coz he's moved the goal posts CC is now making out some completely unrelated poll that I'm sure many think/thought was anonymous now counts as to what people have declared.
For the record - with £47m left of wiggle room (After Targett) added to the fact our sales are looking more like loans - (Hayden) I can see why we're getting a flip flopped version of River Dance coming.

You haven't got a single piece of evidence to suggest 140 plus but you voted for it, but I voted 90 to 110 based on
1. actual evidence (Staveleys words)
2. supportive evidence ( the managers comments and what all the journalists seemed to be saying)
