They done it with managers too, aimed high, got a few knock backs but were patient and we've been fine

I'd rather that than target mediocre players and get them early

They're the type that will get into arguing with makems etc if he goes to Milan. They don't have the brains at this point to realise nufc can still succeed and they will be happy themselves.

They have no patience or brains

Absolutely

They're so desperate for a signing they just want nufc to quit and move on. They won't see any of them play today anyway.

The situation will play out and nufc could land the player they really wanted and if not they'll move on.

The idea nufc should just give up is the attitude of the everyday lout.

Also agree that how much we pay for anyone is irrelevant to us the fans as it’s who you get that counts not how much you pay. But because of FFP and the scrutiny we will be under and to avoid inflated prices in the future and to ensure we fill the necessary positions within the money allocated I would guess the Club have a figure as to what players are worth and won’t go above that.

Neither Calvert Lewin nor Ricarlison are worth those figures and we can get better players elsewhere for or within those figures.

Depends what the punishments are for FFP. If its fines we may take a view on it. If its banning us from Europe then maybe we will take a view on what that means short term. If its banning us from transfers, points etc, then its a no go. I would be honest and say I haven't seen what kind of strikers are available and what sort of fees are being mentioned as not keeping massively up to date this summer. I do know the Nigerian Osimhen at Napoli has been mentioned at various stages to us and others. Not sure what his cost is but he has been class when I've watched Napoli. Real livewire.

Ricarlison and DCL do look over valued but I think both are very talented. I have watched Ricarlison for Brazil and there is a different player to the one we've seen at Everton. Absolutely lethal. DCL - I think with a good summer on his back he will be back to his best next season, I really like him as he has a good all round game. Aerially he's absolutely awesome, he's quick and he was just starting to look like he had goals in him before the injury. Both modern players, but it all depends what else is realistic for us. It sounds like Nunez is off to Liverpool, and I thought he looked useful in CL.

Is there even a thing as big 6 anymore?
Arsenal finished 8th twice in last 3 years and haven’t won the league since 03/04.

Depends what your using to classify as being big 6. If it’s trophies then struggle to see how spurs and arsenal are even included tbh.

If it’s revenue then Newcastle will be a good 6/7 years before their revenue gets anywhere near those others tbh
