Ekitike is nufcs striker target and DCL if that fails then down the list further.

It's about improving 4 or 5 areas not one or 2 with a restricted budget because of FFP.

Essentially it's a slow build which they were always very keen to tell us from day one, but people simply pretended they didn't hear it or they acknowledged, but performed mental gymnastics to explain it as a way of keeping prices down.

Nufc don't need to throw money away they have to build the club.

So we have 150m over the next 5 windows? :emoticon-0136-giggl

I don't think Ekitike is the striker target, I think they see him progressing to that central role in a few years time after playing out on the wing and will possibly have a main striker target in mind.

Botman 30m Ekitike 25m Targett 15m

70m spend and progress.

That’s all we can ask for really and would be ideal business.

Would be good that I mean let's not forget another window is only 16 weeks apart

I think they'll probably be around 80 to 100 max million come Sept 1st.

I'm pretty sure Ekitike will be competing for a start immediately. It's the very thing Newcastle can offer him that the other bigger clubs probably can't.

I don't think he'd be rushed, but he'd be good sub appearances and an injury away from starting.

If nufc go 4 3 3 he'd be in pretty fast

You might me right, but I don't see much in the squad stopping him ..

Yeah, I never meant he wouldn't get game time or start, more I think he'll play primarily as a winger (will take a stab at RW) initially and be moved into the centre when and if he's needed. Think he'll develop his game more from there before competing for the striker role in a couple of years time assuming he progresses the way the club hope he can.

You might be right, but I think the other striker will be more on the lines of another wood ... Just another body.. A cheap option

Even 60 to 80 gets you a few decent players.

All they need to do is solidify the clubs premier league status while they build a new training ground and build the brand abroad.
