However if he hadn’t bought us and stopped the financial rot we’d have been relegated.

It would have been CCs dream. We’ll sell our best players and get relegated.
We wouldn’t have come back up either.

From that point it’s anyone guess as to what may then have happened. We could have been the next Portsmouth or Sheik Mansoir could have actually bought us
We very nearly were relegated in his first season and went down twice under him ( would have been 3 thus season ).
The debt we had then was still there when he left. The sponsorships, advertising and merchandise sales which could have paid those debts were abysmal under him.
The Gallowgate land was bought for a song by him then sold for a profit to him.
His appointments were awful. Who would think Wise knew more about the game than Keegan. What did Jiminez do? Joke in ear was director of football for a year and did absolutely nothing, apart from embarrass the club.
Sorry but I think we could do without that kind of fixing.

Yes because he turned the financial situation around and the club was making profits a few years after.

The new owners can spend more easily because the clubs not riddled like most other clubs that are leaking money everywhere.

Nufc was actually a very well run club financially in comparison to most others.
We had the same debts when he left that we had when he came.

Same debt, same commercial income, same wage to turnover ratio over his entire ownership. The club owned more of the real estate around the ground and at the time the training ground needed updates not a massive ****ing overhaul.

The cost of relegation through repeated, avoidable stupidity and ignorance has cost this club tens if not hundreds of millions. The man is the worst thing to ever happen to this club. The biggest **** imaginable, always was and forever will be. Anyone claiming anything remotely to the contrary is a ****ing idiot.

None of this is relevant to the point it's just all a big moan about other areas not related to the fact I presented

I will however say that another owner may not have bought newcastle and we could've done a Leeds and another owner may well have sold is to the Venky brothers..... Everything you've presented is ifs and buts

What's happened is matter of fact.

He bought a club in a financial mess and fixed it.. He left the club in better place financially..That is a fact

I checked out ages ago incidently, so sorry i couldn't come out with a witty reply.

Today's been a funny day, but the world keeps turning. Peace all.

The club was running a profit until covid and a big loan he made to the club but it wasn't losing money like it was when he bought it. The wage bill for example.

The club made profits most seasons until then and when he bought it the club was a sinking ship.

What he sold was in better shape than when he bought it off the pitch.

The product was awful....

The problem people have is they can only see the **** football.

They completely forgot or don’t know how bad the finances were under Freddy Shepherd.
Yes the debt remained the same. Difference being we weren’t being crippled by interest.
Forecasts showed at the time we’d probably have ended up with a point deduction and relegation. Obviously at this point who knows what would have happened however based on all other teams that have been in a similar position 95% of them are now mainstays in the lower leagues.

Yes he ducked up on almost everything else but debt wasn’t one of them hence our position now. Yes he could have done better. Much better. Much much better but that’s life
