Wow so there’s almost a month of matches before deadline day?! The authorities really have no ****ing idea what they’re doing.
 
Transfer Window 10th June Think pre-season is July 1st. first friendly v Benfica (at the moment) 26th July, Atalanta 29th July, Ath Bilboa 30th July. New Season 6th Aug.

Think it's a bit weird thet you could be buying players from another club 3 or 4 matches into the season. For the bigger clubs it's a big advantage, as the smaller ones can just be picked off and won't have time or ability to backfill; say Leeds fend off interest in Philips, he starts the season, they are hit and miss again then Man U unsettle him and he ends up leaving - Leeds have a a huge gap to fill, and would likely have to do it with a risky low-cost foreign signing, who has no time to integrate into the club. Any larger club can simply stand their ground. Window should have been moved to June 1st - Aug 1st, for at least this year.

Flip side of that could be players being injured and replacements being required or from a players point of view, not getting game time just round the corner from the world cup.
 
It's the same for everyone and part of the game. Howe isn't the type to just throw new signings in anyway unless they've got prem experience.
