Everyone will say that, but unfortunately the minute results go badly people will suddenly be after Howe.

I don't want to go too ott on just assuming Howe will get everything right and then end up being critical.

Things have gone very well but that doesnt mean everything always will.

It’s a massive window for Howe. He’s got a huge challenge. As was pointed out this team finished 6th in a 32 game season. His remit will be an actual top 7 finish. He’s now got to juggle how he does that. And he will be under pressure from game 1.

The worry we have as fans is similar - Howe got some really average players to contribute to a huge turnaround. But the likes of Wood, Almiron, Lascelles, Murphy, etc are much more likely to drop levels than get better. If Howe sticks with some of these guys he’s likely to be disappointed and also likely to fail. It’s meaningless in the long term, but this is why football becomes so fickle.

We've got enough dross in the squad and I'd like them to add 2 or 3 bits of quality, but if that turns out to be mings, Dwight mcneil and Henderson I'll be disappointed.

Managers can go from having their arses licked to the point the only way is down very quickly.

I anticipate struggles in this window and in seasons ahead, but we'll also go fwds, so I'm just going to enjoy it.

Howes done well, but next seasons his 1st full season and the standards set aren't going to be maintained imo and I hope people don't start going after him too much.
