I've no issue with this. Could leave them short when the window properly cranks up a notch and better calibre players make their intentions known. Especially in a World Cup year.
The thing is surely 60 to 100 million isn't even bad? I honestly don't understand why fans are so desperate to waste money.
He's unlikely to be first choice at the majority of the clubs above us - Leicester and West Ham could be an option though as there strikers are over 30 now (as is Wilson) - but I think he will be intrigued by the project here though. None of those clubs outside the top 6 have the means of consistently breaking into that group bar us right now, as we are the richest team in the world.... Then you can show this to prospective players and say "fancy a bucket load of wedge and a project that can excite you for the next 5-10 years".

It's not bad at all. It won't however buy the targets we are being linked with. Simple as that. So either the targets will change or the budget will change.
So the list of targets is accurate, but the figure isn't.

Henderson - possibly on loan with purchase clause in future
Lodi - £25m absolute minimum more like £35m - £40m
Botman - £35 - £40m
Ekitike - I heard loan with purchase clause but if its a deal £33m
Harrison - £30m?
DCL will cost £40 - £70m
Even if we said each of them would be £25m and said Henderson and Ekitike will be loans there is £100m. Now Luke has changed the goal posts already saying today that it's now minimum £60m and more like £100m
Our player sales will not generate that much money. A salesman with the ability to sell snow to Eskimo's and sand to Saudi may generate £30m if we're lucky with the dross and a good bit more if ASM is sold. Seen something saying we've alerted clubs that he is available for £70m. Don't see a stampede for him at that price.
I read something earlier saying 14 players have been put up for sale.
So as I've said options are this
1) Luke was talking out his arse
2) Budget is wrong
3) Targets are wrong

The prices you've come up with are all likley higher than what they'd sell for and there's no certainty surrounding the signing of any or all of them.
They're merely a list of targets.
If I was picking an option of what I listed it would be
1) Luke Edwards is talking ****.
Backed up by he's changed his views already today. moving from his original £60m story to it now being between £60m and £100m.
The most accurate thing is the amount 60 to 100.
The story hasn't really moved but people ignored the bit about player sales
I see that as being about right.
The list of players is just a list of reported targets.. They'll have a much bigger list and they won't sign all of them.
I think they'll bring in 2 bigger signings and 3 more seemingly underwhelming ones, but ultimately the squad will have depth plus a few bits of real quality starting to show on the team sheet
It’s all ifs and buts, may aswell just be patient and see what happens as I don’t think anyone really other than Amanda etc know what’s happening.
I personally think we could do better than the likes of Harrison, feel we could spend that money elsewhere. Do feel it will be difficult as clubs will try and scrounge every last penny out of us.
