If we get Botman, Targett, Londi, Calvert-Lewin and more for £60m then whoever brokers the deals needs a stand named after them ahead of Keegan.

He read the athletic article stating that the club has £60m to spend then he and other journalists started mentioning £60m
It was him that first reported it and The Athletic ran with his story.
I just read a load of ****e on Twitter and got it mixed up
Basically Luke "The PIF will never buy NUFC" Edwards is the one that reported the "only £60m" budget that The Athletic ran with.

Erm just to be clear you lost a bet to me in January over spend.
I don't buy into the idea everything he said is wrong. He's a journalist reporting what he's hearing and it's fairly accurate.
Nufc fans just don't like some of it.
60 to 80 sounds about right to me but of course nufc fans are jumping on the lowest end of that. The players he listed seem about right, but of course it doesn't contain the fantasy names they want, so they're again going after him.
Nobody knows the prices but we got Trippier for 12 not the 25 reported before hand.
It's also likley newcastle will get a few million for players they're letting go.
That's not what I'm saying here mate. Nobody put a figure on any budget till he came out with that number in his article. If it is that then fine that's what we have to work with......I always said I would be happy with Ashley gone and steady growth throughout the entire club rather than a PSG approach. I stand by that. Granted there is times where I think "**** it, I've waited long enough - go buy the lot" but I am delighted with the progress that we have made.
What I am saying is he is either backtracking on his initial budget story or he is massively undervaluing the targets he is now talking about. No way we could sign those players listed above for anything close to £60-£80m.
So therefor my point is pretty much - Don't believe "Luke Edwards story's". Furthermore we all need to chill the **** out and just look forward to the new season and what happens in between.
We are going into a summer transfer window without Mike Ashley owning the club, i'm still getting high off that thought alone for now.
