They'd better hurry up and come up with a better idea then. Our shirt sales from the moment the takeover went through brought in the club an extra £1m a month. That's before that Saudi away shirt becomes available <laugh>

Downie says the club have never ever said they are only spending £60m. He says that was a story in The Athletic that has never been confirmed and other media have run with. The club are fully aware a decent player costs £40m these days.

The club want a GK, LB, CB, CM, and a Striker is the number 1 priority with irons in the fire for every position.

Agreed. We’ll have a shortlist of about 30 per position. Not spend a summer trying to work out if we can buy Willock.
