Over who? If we'd signed him in Jan he wouldn't get in ahead of Bruno or Joelinton or Shelvey if we're honest. He was too lightweight for the Prem.
He's not better than Bruno and he's not better than Joelinton in the role he plays either. Yes he's better than Shelvey but Voldermort has cast some spell on every manager that walks in the door and has them play him.
So Merino is better than Joelinton at breaking up play, tackling and winning balls in the air? IS HE ****.
Yes he may be better at dribbling, passing and shooting but that is not the role Joelinton plays currently. Meaning Merino would be vying for Bruno's spot, unless Harry Potter magically fly's in and breaks Voldermorts spell.
We won't get far with Shelvey in the team. He's done ok but he has too many stinkers. Joelinton Merino Bruno is a good midfield
