Scottish U21 full back. Only ever played once for West Ham and that was 2 seasons ago by the look of it, so not much to go by really.
Look we needed to replace Murphy even if it wasn't the best thing to do for the long term gain of the club. Unfortunately we decided to ignore everything we'd looked at and instead roll with a few losers on twitter and fan boards just to keep them happy.
<<<<< ACTUAL BREAKING NEWS >>>>> (don't get too excited...) De Bolle pens Newcastle deal before Hamilton loan Lucas De Bolle has joined Scottish Championship side Hamilton Academical on a season-long loan - after signing a new two-year contract with Newcastle United.
Add Shola Ameobi to the list of idiots that still need replacing. That Dickman seems to be living up to his name, some dire performances at U23.
Newcastle frustrated by Deadline Day domino effect Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie: "Newcastle are frustrated. They did want to add today. They do still want to. But the clubs they’re trying to get players from on loan are unwilling to allow players to be loaned out at this time. "We’ve said there’s a historical interest in Conor Gallagher that’s lasted pretty much all window. Christian Pulisic is one the club looked at in the last 12-24 hours and thought could they perhaps do something there – but because Chelsea don’t have a replacement in there’s not really any chance for Newcastle to bring in a player like Pulisic. "We’ve been speaking about Harrison Ashby today, the young right-back from West Ham. But that situation is complicated because Jan Bednarek, who West Ham hoped to sign, has gone to Aston Villa instead. "It’s the old domino effect on transfer Deadline Day not really working for Newcastle right now. "But although they’ve been slightly frustrated today, not managing to get one, maybe two loans over the line, they did make their record transfer signing last week and everyone at the club was delighted with that one. "If the right player comes up and the finances were right [they would make a move]. I think Youri Tielemans would probably break their wage structure if they were to bring him in right now, though."
Why is everyone so miserable on deadline days? I think everything is going better then we could've anticipated post takeover. Given city and Liverpool and good run for their money and I saw Lascelles make a good pass yesterday night.
No, just helping you realise that some bacon would add more to the club's value than Murphy - and would miss fewer challenges/crosses/shots.
We've got to head our head out of our asses with this wage structure idiocy, I'm sick of ****ing hearing it. You cannot challenge with a Mike Ashley outlook. Get commercial deals to cover it, progress the team. If you're not going to do it that way, then get a better scouting system that can actually find decent players in the first ****ing place. We're stuck in this middle ground with stuff that looks very much like Ashley - decent Purple players, but everyone is else is turd Brown. I mean, we've seen the struggles in CM with the huge Bruno sized hole. So you can fill it with Tielemans, but we won't in case, what, Longstaff gets a bit upset about wages?? How do Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, etc., all seem to manage with big wage disparity?
I've never moaned on this subject, however I've always remained grounded and I heard the words 5 to 10 years again and again and again. Look how far nufc has come.. We've some top top players and nufc don't want to go the scattergun route for a good reason.
Did you deliberately add Wood to that list just to annoy me?! As I've said elsewhere, mate, Ashley left a mess and we've been doing what's necessary. Isak was the first real big step forward. But other clubs are spending too, so if the desire is CL football then they need to either a) do better, or b) stop over-promising. It's a hugely competitive league - is Bruno going to ignore Madrid again next Summer when we finish 10th? We'll end up in a cycle of havng huge gaps to fill as well as needing to build and keep up. It's good, it's much better than Ashley, it's just not good enough for their well publicised aspirations.
Over promising? Surely we're another 9 years from questioning that mate. They'll know exactly what they're doing this is the PIF not the venky brothers mate.. Our owners will be the smartest owners in the game
See where we are in Jan. If we are top half and looking strong, things are going to plan and we should just focus on finishing the season strong and showing progress. I'm happy with how our owners are doing.
