This is correct most top teams now don’t play with a proper striker but more a front 3 of similar ilk.

Shame we can’t send Wood back to Burnley eh.

Definitely should've kept the receipt. They've lost Weghorst, I do wonder if there's a deal to be done there? Or would it leave too much egg on peoples faces?

Not links as such, but apparently there's issues with Leicester and FFP. I think Maddison is out of our league (in his head, anyway), Tielemans seems to be in a position we're not actively looking so that left Harvey Barnes and maybe Patson Daka. Thoughts?

Barnes is a very good player, I'd definitely take him

Send him back for 15m.

Nah he had a role to do for us. Plus they can’t afford him.

I know he had a release clause but it does make you wonder why they sold him especially as they got relegated.

He wasn’t performing well for them mind.

Some claims that we WILL sign two players, a RW and a CF, before the window shuts. That will likely be the end of all transfer business in, or so some claim. Multiple reports, none credible, of a £25m offer for Harrison. I can see it happening, but I think they'll investigate Harvey Barnes and maybe Ismail Sarr of Watford.

I think we'll sign Jonathan David of Lille. They've just picked up a lad, CF (Luis Opened), from Vitesse who's got a lot of promise and is roughly the same age. He's the right profile, he's on the rise, Canadian so language/culture fits, should be no more than £30m. One to watch for me, hasn't featured in any press but we do like the French market and we'd want to keep this one quiet.

So far this is the most boring transfer window since last year.

I have a feeling in two weeks you won't feel that way. I think the clearout is important for FFP and signing players, so getting the deadwood out is vital to clear the decks ahead of what will be 2, if not 3, new arrivals.

Thank god we got Gamereas..

I like the idea of a progressive but tenacious midfielder. A player who is happy to take on 5 men at once and then comfortable with finishing in the box.

Is pouchies lass available?

I have heard she goes down a bit too easily though.

comfirmed.

Quotes from Jonathan David’s agent

Mavromaras told Radio Canada's Tellement Soccerpodcast: "For us, the objective is to finish the season in Lille, but it will be his last season there for several reason.

"I think the Premier League is a great option for him. I think he likes Spain a lot too because he likes the feel of the ball and the very technical players.”

So Lingard has signed for Forrest.

A very interesting signing for them.

They must have different FFP rules than we do then.

Imagine their highest earner last season on 40k (Jack Colback) and how he feels now when he sees his new team mate earning £200k a week.

115 wages apparently free transfer.
