Nah you're just very premature in trying to prove people wrong. There's 6 weeks left of the window. £55m spent already. Obviously nothing coming in money wise as the players are either on too high a wage or too **** to sell. Which means anything above £60m and Luke Edwards is wrong.

Howe in his interview on Friday said he wants another 3 players brought in and that is why Ashworth is out there with them. The process hasn't stopped. Granted he did say if they can't secure the targets they want in the positions they want they may need to move on to other positions.

As for this line you keep repeating regarding Amanda Staveley saying £250m over 5 years and everyone but you ignoring it. We've spent almost £150m in 7 months.

End of the day if you're right, then you're right. It's not going to mean anything more than that.

    Let's see what happens. I don't believe we're done.

    Okay.

We will spend more than £60m in this window. You will be proved wrong backing Luke Edwards original story.

We will spend more than £250m over 5 years. You will be proved wrong quoting a failed takeover story.

50 million can get two good additions anyway the lower the spend the better...

I see only one reason fans want the numbers tu be high and it's so they can jump about saying look at us.

We can all do that when newcastle win having not been ripped off

We need a good striker, and we won't get much change from £50m for that.

£30m for Harrison and £30m ish for a striker and we're pretty much set.

Nobody ever said 60 million that's a quote never made ignoring commercial deals etc.. The actual amount was a range of up to 90 million.

As for the 250 you'll see players being sold for bigger amounts in the next couple of years at Newcastle which you've never considered... One player sale could hit huge heights these days. 250 million plus player sales will be a large amount

He ****ing well did say £60m. That's why we all jumped down your throat when you backed him. He then inched it up bit by bit due to criticism then started adding player sales etc a month later.

As for player sales, not having that like. We have 1 player worth about £40m in Maxi the rest you can forget getting even a quarter of that for. Unless of course you mean we're buying players like Bruno now to sell in the next 3 to 4 years.

No he actually didn't that's the thing.. I've tried explaining what happened to you but I'll try again.

He wrote an article in March that was headlined that the spend wouldn't be more than 90 million. The article did mention 60 million a the lowest end of that range

The fans focussed in on 60 million and then twitter louts started posting tweets focusing on on the lowest end of the range.. They essentially made a fallacious claim that spread.. A claim that completely ignored the full context of the article.

I believe I voted 90 to 110 million..... You have ignored all the evidence which has been considerable and gone with what you 'think'

Here's the thing. Making decisions based on what you simply 'think' is a highly unreliable pathway to truth.

The club, the manager and every journalist has repeatedly told you, but you simply will not absorb what you don't want to hear.

I wonder how much Gamereas and Botman will be worth in 3 to 5 years.

I wonder how well the owners do at buy and sell over the next 5 years.

If he carries on like he started then we'll do well to keep Bruno next summer, especially if we haven't managed to qualify for European competition. The good news is we can charge a serious premium for him.

I mean if the club gets up there it'll be easier, but I won't be surprised if he and Botman have release clauses.

I'm really just putting it out there that the club could make one two or 3 really big sales in the next 5 years.

This is bang on: he’s a world class player. We will do well to keep him unless we do indeed improve our playing squad in the next 2 years.

    Which I believe we will.

We might have to if we don’t increase our commercial income and improve our playing squad.

Bruno and Botman ain’t here for mid table premiership football. They are capable of much much better and are both likely champions league class.

For them to still be with is then we will need some top signings.
