If we buy nobody in the Summer but have the players we had for the last few games - ie Wilson and Trippier - I'd expect us well into the top half the league, and that's allowing for a drop in form, otherwise I'd be predicting top 4 form.

So we bring in a few competing bodies to improve our team as well as strengthening our resilience to the impact of injuries, then we will compete to get into Europe.

It's possible if they get the window right, but at the same time they could get it wrong and we could be in another relegation scrap.

Nothing is certain and I just hope people don't start the Howe out **** if it's the latter.

Unfortunately they'll be after the new owners too... Some started on Feb 1st when they didn't sign Mbappe.

Goes back to what I was saying - there is just to much to do at present behind the scenes to be overly worried about transfers when the windows not even open yet...

Ashworth just being signed off despite fee's agreed with Brighton a week ago... imagine what it is like trying to organize Saudia or LIV as the main sponsor and trying to get the Glazers and Levy to sign off on it!
