Meh, being something of an extrovert i need to get out cos i get cabin fever from working at home by myself all day....especially watching football in a pub with a good crowd is a nice release.

I do get somewhat claustrophobia in ridiculously packed spaces though, so **** that.

No private jets set to arrive at Newcastle today according to FlightRadar24.

Mate that means we've got no chance if they're interested.

I read yesterday Man United were close to completing the deal.

Dunno why he'd choose Man U over Liverpool, especially with Mane leaving Liverpool, it frees up a first team striker place there.

Are Man U splashing out this time? Seems like sorting put the rabble they've got is the priority.

Only if Liverpool aren't that interested.. I heard Liverpool want diaby to replace mane.. Much more similar player.

Man united keep spending, but this new manager needs to get this window right or they'll be crying again.

Similar player regardless and he does score goals for a winger.

Nunez is a completely different type of player.

Ultimately I don't think either will end up at Newcastle.

He gets the odd goal, whereas Mane is a regular 20+ per season scorer.

Never say never, with Ashworth now installed before we start transfer bidding, we've got more gravitas there, Nunez is young so could buy into a long term project. Man U are leaving off their legacy right now, and even the dumbest player will know going there is a huge gamble at the moment.

Forget Nunez, paying 100m for unproven player is asking for trouble, and based from what I saw, I don't think he is the best out there, maybe for 50m but not what Benfica are demanding.

He's very Cavani-esque but it'll take him years to get consistency at that level. Are we creating enough? No. We need more of an all round threat - Wilson, when fit, is more than just a finisher - that halfway line effort vs Arsenal a good example. He's getting more fragile and is already 31, so great experience and backup when you need a goal but should not be starting come mid-August.

I really like Isak. I know his record isn't amazing, but again that's not what he does for the team. He's a big, athletic lad who can hold it up. I don't think he'd cost the earth as I think his stats have put people off. But as a Swede he'll fit in with culture/language and has his best years ahead of him.

Check this kid out. Yes I know it's the MLS, Yes I know it's nowhere near the same league, Yes I know Miggy ripped it up........but this kid looks more like what we need than Nunez.

An athletic Swede who can hold the ball up and score goals? I think maybe you put too much emphasis on the word "big".

Yes, I saw that link and did think it was a good one. Almiron, you can see why he was worth the punt. He just lacks intelligence - from what I understand, one of Ashworth's key points of focus is on recruiting football intelligence. If ever there was a possible death knell for ASM, it's this.

Also a link to Zinchenko for the vacant left back spot. I'd be happy with that.

He has an almost exact same goals ratio as Chris Wood though to be fair Chris Wood is actually proven in the PL. He also holds the ball up. Only issue being is he hasn’t yet shown this in a nufc shirt but then again neither has Isak

So you'd take Wood over Isak? I mean in the context of a football match, not in the context of deliberately winding me up.
