If we’re going to buy an oldie can’t we at least find a golden oldie? Easier said than done, of course, but we’ve been quite successful in the past with the likes of Wilkins, Furlong, Helgusson... a good pro whose head is still in the right place.

I’m still struggling to understand why he turned down a move the Club Bruges where he would be playing in the group stage of the Champions League this season. Even if he’s after a big pay packet in the PL, that would have been a much better shop window for him, and said something more about his character and ambition.
Let’s hope he signs, tears up this league this season, and we sell him for a shedload next summer.
Agree, but the generous interpretation might be that they didn't promise him enough game time or he wanted to be close to his family etc. As ever, we're not privy to the detail of it all.
Yes he's a fan, yes he played for harrow borough, hasn't he been a bit **** the last couple of seasons though? Remember him being a great player to watch

I don't know whether they are alternatives but I'd rather have Willock than Adomah. The former has represented England at every age group from U16 to U20 and he's still just 22. His progress may have stalled slightly but he's a prospect whereas Adomah, for all his affinity to QPR, is 32 and has hardly been ripping up trees lately.
I do find the prospect of BOS on one wing and Adomah on the other very exciting.Can we get big Matt Smith back to just stand in the box and finish off the chances?
