I read Moore is a fair bit more mobile than Smith, and we really need more hight and physicality in the team. So I hope we get him, but other Clubs may offer more. Like they will for BOS of cos.

Confess I don't know much about Moore but read up a little and seems to have a few goals in him - if not prolific - and apparently leads the line really well. Could be good with Chair/Shodipo etc behind him.

He looked pretty good when we played there a week ago. Scored if I remember right.

Awhile ago WBA wanted him.
I wonder if he wants to play an exhibition match in front of them

And no we don't want Phillips back

We'll never know of course, but I can't help wondering whether the owners are relying on a particular level of transfer window income in their plans for the club. I just hope that if that is the case we don't end up becoming increasingly desperate to offload players as the end of the window approaches

I'm sure the BOS and Eze would want to be - as a minimum - playing for sides that are serious promotion contenders and I'm not sure that even with a few additions that will be us this coming season

I'd love them to stay because they are great players who can really entertain, and entertainment is what I pay to see

We only have to look at ourselves to see it doesnt take much to go from possible promotion contenders to relegation contenders- we managed that in just a couple of games before and after the CV restart.

If we could keep Eze, BOS and add some hight and muscle at striker, central midfield and CD, plus a LB, by selling a few/ not renewing loans as necessary, I dont see why we couldn't be a promotion contender next season.

To be fair, me and the lad said we could do with someone like him when we watched the Wigan game.

I find it quite sad that a young player backs out of the chance of playing abroad, but if we get more cash for him, fine.

Quite. If I were advising him I'd be telling him to go and play every week. Play in the Champions League [and Europa League], enjoy competing for / winning the Belgian league, and put yourself in the shop window for a really big move. Experience a new country, enjoy a totally different lifestyle and more anonymity.

Surely that's better than sitting on the bench for Palace / West Ham / Leeds etc?

Maybe he's decided that a Belgian diet of chips, waffles and beer wouldn't suit his physical health

At least in Shepherd's Bush he can do a quick pre match Wagamamas

Much healthier for the lad

Not much of a wish list - the backbone of a new team. In fact exactly the same challenge as last summer. Thank heavens we do not need a new manager this year although the Board still have the uncanny knack when things start to go right of dispensing with the current incumbent thanking the guy for everything and heaping praise on him for his valuable contribution but reflecting that they feel he has taken us as far as he could so they just felt it was time for a change- a new (inevitably cheaper) vision.. Last year Warburton had a brief to put together a team from a few spare parts and the change scooped up from the back of the sofa. This year he will be given some pocket money for the first time but will be told to spend it wisely on something that looks like a few turds but which could in fact be diamonds when polished up. In some cases there is a reason why something that looks like a turd and smells like one. Quite simply it is a turd. Here's hoping he finds a couple which are the real McCoy. At least we will be polishing them up for our bank manager next season..

The turds to diamonds approach is more likely to have its stinkers than diamonds; but it’s the diamonds that give the returns and that are always remembered. There is always the gamble, that said you can’t complain at the results that Brentford have managed, and if we can take a similar approach with a few extra bells and whistles we can hopefully have a very adept polishing department (and happy players, fans, board and bank manager).
