We will be 7th after the first 3 games. I’ve been to the future.Newcastle have a very difficult start I hope people don't freak out if they're in the bottom 3 after 3 games.

So who else do we sign and sell in this transfer window? We will be 7th after the first 3 games. I’ve been to the future.
Wash your mouth out. They're a bigger club than Newcastle basically... they obviously have a bigger pull.. Emery and diaby turned Newcastle down.

I've got their financial report, and while they've done well with Grealish, aside, it's not as rosy as all that. I'll have a read back through it tomorrow when I'm travelling. As othwrs have said, they are way ahead in the club being developed. A key difference in terms of spend/FFP is they have sold players for big money as well - unlike us. Grealish alone was over £100m. So while their spend has been big, their net spend will be OK.
We sell Lascelles and buy Barnes. So who else do we sign and sell in this transfer window?
I don't live under a rock, I'm fully aware, but times have changed. You might want to look what villa have won.

Will we sell Lascelles on the sea shore? We sell Lascelles and buy Barnes.
Historically they have won more trophies, but to suggest that players in this generation (players younger than the vast majority of us here), when considering a transfer will view them as bigger than Newcastle, is nonsense. They've won more including the European Cup...think its 25 to 12 in terms of major trophies.
They're a far bigger club and only nufc fans would try to suggest otherwise.

Tonali will be on 200k a week.Sounds like we want elite players only.
Within a limited budget.
On low wages.
Who aren’t wanted by any other clubs.
Tonali will be on 200k a week.
But that’s all we had to spend by the looks of it.
I said this months ago and some didn’t listen but unless we get in more commercial deals we can’t spend.
We have increased some commercial revenue. But I reckon the PL are blocking some deals.
FFP is a mechanism to restrict teams growing and maintain the status quo.
Villa don’t seem to be impacted by FFP.

Exactly so Tonali will have cost about £15-20m based on amortisation so we have £60m ish leftI can’t fathom how Tonali can be our budget when Chelsea’s rationale on FFP was spreading cost of deals via amortisation.
We have guaranteed income well in excsss of what we had when spending on Botman, Bruno and Isak. It doesn’t add up at all.
