Yeah, I read that. Still, we snapped up Trippier, Bruno, Botman and Isak with CL looking like a distant dream and even Europa League looking unlikely. Szoboszlai or not, we should be able to sign well and go again, even if we finish 5th.

Almiron has that or at least close to it,if a player is that good surely he will carry your team somewhat, not much evidence of that tonight, just my opinion mind.

Almiron is no where near as creative and wont repeat the same next season.
 
Can't believe some people are literally saying Maddison is a Luxury player based off that performance last night.
 
£200m gets us this...I like it tbh, and think that a team like this could cement us top 4 next season...sees the likes of Burn, Scharr, Willock and Longstaff becoming squad players, which is the brutal reality (expect for maybe Willock)

There's a nice fluidity in the midfield/attack which I like - ie Maddison, Bruno, Joelinton, Raphina and Thurman can all float about those positions; I feel we're too rigid in the players positions right now.

I agree. I think the only fluidity we have is when Willock and Joelinton interchange. This would create much more uncertainty in the opposition and with much more quality.
