If they can get the money for Barnes then it's time to say goodbye. I feel quite sad for max he had the opportunity to leave Newcastle and stayed. He was a very important player pre takeover and the fans quickly turned on him and I don't like bully's but his times up , he's not been consistent enough and lacks end product.

We do not have to 'fund' the HB deal by selling Maxi. We are owned by PIF!! I'm certain if we want to get a deal done we can regardless of outgoings the media just love to stir everyone up with a story about selling Maxi. I do think Barnes is good but at the same time if we are really having to cut our cloth accordingly surely the left forward position is not a priority especially as both big & little Joe looked comfortable enough out there at times last year if required. We'd be much better off getting a right sided forward.

I would imagine that in general the Saudis have caused havoc in the window and disrupted the plans of other clubs and not Newcastle directly.

Barnes is no nonsense he hurts the opposition and max dances it looks impressive but the final pass or shot is literally never ever there.
