I must admit, when we qualified for the ****ing Champions ****ing League, I did think we’d do a bit better than a new contract for Dummett and alleged bids for Harvey Barnes.

It's seriously complicated getting players in I think. Sure we have the money in theory but making room in the squad (contract hangover from Ashley era). We are still a bit of a risk for champs league ready players and there is little point in bringing in players who don't have the potential to be so if we are to fulfill our ambitions which significantly reduces the pot of players we are looking at.

Look around and there is very little business that has been done, it's a massive game of cat and mouse. Especially with foreign/ relegated clubs trying to squeeze every last penny out of the prem for their valuable assets. Being owned by the PIF I suspect makes it a little more tricky to do a Bholey and blow our load all over Europe as we need to be absolutely squeeky clean. I don't have a problem with that btw as he looks like a complete tool with what he's done at Chelsea imo.
 
Bottlejob United have previous for this, so this behaviour doesn't exactly surprise me.

But at least it's better than waiting to see If we'll sign anyone capable of helping Us survive another relegation battle.
 
Hate to think what’ll happen if/when Botman gets injured, as things stand we’d have Schar and Burn as our CB’s. Would get shafted in CL.

I really do hope we get a defender or 2 in.
