unfortunately that story says nothing other than that our original offer is still on the table should PSG change their mind

I could have written that.

its not the good news we are hoping for. just a re-iteration that its not dead until its dead
Probably up to the lad and his agent to put pressure on PSG if he really wants to move.

A Keane style deadline would be the perfect thing to lift the mood
Think the centre half situation will drag on whether it’s van hecke or someone else we have in mind is anyones guess, michut is another I think will happen just depends who blinks first or how ridiculous the new clause was, a few nice surprises wouldn’t go a miss either haha

If you have a look at some of the prem squads they are very big. Too big for coaches to deal with comfortanly. Forest, Villa, Fulham for example have all got over 25 players in their first team squad, and all trying to add. There are going to be some good players shipped out in the next couple of days. Every chance we get a surprise or two I think.

Just seen on ssn that forest after a couple more players - that will be 21 in.

They will have to offload a fair few

There certainly will be a lot of players to leave Forest with all the new lads signing.

Unfortunately many of the lads they will be looking to move on aren't very good.

There will be other clubs who might have better players that we can get either on loan or permanent.

It was a fair point made by Caulkin about Mowbray being trusted by the likes of Pep/Klopp/Ancelotti, some of that will be geographical but if he'd not developed them properly he'd not get the chance again so hopefully it works in our favour.

you'd think this but they've already lost them. pretty much their entire side from last year has either gone back from loan, been loaned out, been sold, or been released.

their squad isn't as big as you'd think now

Lads round here reckon their squad is pushing 30 players and going to get bigger. That is way to big for coaches to handle day to day.

I had a quick look and it looked like only 3 out on loan, will have another look

See Dubravka close to Man Utd. Might mean we get Kovar in.

I'm not keen on this mind.

It will potentially destabilise Pattison, and limit development of Carney so as to develop a United player.

If we want another keeper I'd prefer to bring in on a permanent but don't think we will prioritise that with the other areas we clearly need to prioritise.

I have the same doubts. I dont think he will push Patterson much, but generally clubs have 3 first team keepers these days.
