What are thoughts on Bailey Wright as an Evans stand in if O9 is suspended or needed elsewhere? Remember a certain other cb doing a great job for us in the holding role. Just think there are options without bringing in someone who’s going to warm the bench for most of the season.

Couldnt see that at all mate. He isnt mobile enough I am not convinced he sees things early enough. He is good in a battle and when he can drop deep, but wouldnt fancy him at all when the play is all around him. ONien, Winchester, Huggins would all go in there before him for me.

I’d personally like an alternative to Evans as I’m not sure we’ve anyone else on our squad that can effectively play the role he does and he won’t be able to play every games. Otherwise I agree.

That's a "nice to have" rather than essential in my opinion. Matete and Neil need to play regularly this season and with O'Nien, Evans, Winchester and possibly Embleton looking to play central midfield roles, I think we have enough bodies. I think we need to move Winchester out to bring another in.

Absolutely no chance. We would be unlikely to sell for double that if we had 2 other strikers on the books. In our current situation they'd have to quadruple it.
