Borini, who can play anywhere across the front three, is currently with Turkish Super Lig club Fatih Karagumuruk and scored three times in 21 appearances last season. The Black Cats have agreed a deal with Arsenal for promising defender Daniel Ballard, who spent last season on loan at Millwall. He can play either as a centre-back or defensive midfielder.

The owners and Management are a very welcome change to what we have been used to in recent years , KLD hit the ground running by acquiring a very strong infrastructure and use of data management to take the club forward in a controlled manner . I don’t think he will be adverse to backing Alex Neil with cash for suitable signings but without being reckless as previous regimes have been , when he first arrived he said he wanted the club to be run sustainably and still believe that will be borne in mind with regards to future signings .

100% agree, he isnt what we need now - watched him a few times over the last few yrs and he's been really poor. We need to be signing players who can move forward with us.

On Ballard - I cant remember being this excited about a signing in a long time. Been a huge fan the last few years and is a player that will be a good PL CB in the near future

Boro are set to get around 15m for Djed Spence from Spurs.
Bringing in that kind of cash will make them dangerous in the transfer market. Especially when they don't even need to replace him, because he wasnt even in their team last season
