Agree with you’re earlier comments something not quite right with the academy u23s last season Maybe just a lack of quality young players and a focus on promotion Hopefully see a better balance now we are up

Jack Diamond is a strange one, he has been on the fringes for three seasons now, yet is loaned out at times when he should have been in consideration at first team level, the import of Dajaku and Hoffman puzzled me as I thought that after seeing them play both Diamond and Patterson were far better prospects, and still do. For me and I know this wont be popular but I would loan out Dajaku before Diamond.
It will be interesting to see how many of those 7 lads we get. Bellingham is a very surprising one to my mind and I’m not convinced that AN fancies DN so if he comes will DN be the one to make way.
Some decent lads in the 7 you’d certainly think (Bellingham/Rudoni/Iversen have all been widely linked with us) others have mentioned that Ballard is away to Burnley which is one of the CB’s we were linked with.
I seem to recall Cresswell from Leeds also being linked with us last summer and also earlier this summer who was highly rated but I’ve not seen anything recently.
Got confidence that we will get good lads in but it might be towards the end of the window for one or two of the PL lads.
I'd really like to get that Ballard in, seems to be a very good player and at the right age for what were looking to do. Wonder if Sanderson is one of the 7 as well.
remember reading about this last season, something along the lines of "must be in the Championship" if we wanted to sign him.
Ballard is highly rated and might fancy developing under Kompany but we may still be in the mix as it’s not done yet.
Not sure that we will actually be in for Sanderson but that’s just my opinion.

would expect sunderland to be mentioned when any players name comes up to be honest, i hope the club learnt from the will grigg fiasco that when a player really does not want to move to a club it rarely works out...i am sure there are many players that will fancy a move to a big club and i am pretty much behind the recruitment team and that they will get it right.

Absolutely not for me. Another player who will have Pritchard and Embleton ahead of him, not to mention he isnt very good really.
I know many things about his ‘friends’ in old Trafford and stretford and it isn’t nice. People grow up of course but …
