boom, knew someone would come back. ;)

no i do not have a problem with females 'doing' sport i just feel they are overdoing it now, from no females commentating on the male game we have them as a 'must have accessory' now, same as i do not have a problem with souness and his 'mens game' comment as he was correct, had he said it about a womens game of football then he would have been in the wrong...men playing = mens game, women playing = womens game.
Totally agree, I posted a thread about this a few months back.

Is correct.
Those in charge ,being so fearful of vocal minority accusation, on social media ,of not being inclusive ,which is what's driving it, have lost all sense of reasonable perspective.

Be surprised at that mind. All sorts clubs have been said to be interested in him.

But he would be just the job I'd say.

Some women footballers jumping down Souness' throat? I think it only takes an ounce of common sense to realise that he didnt mean it in a literal sense as 'it should only be played by men'. Its obvious that he meant it as a term meaning that the mens game should be willing to accept that things can get physical. The women players who pulled Souness up obviously have a chip on their shoulders. It just seems that nowadays feigning outrage generates publicity for everybody involved and for even those not involved. It gets right on my tits!
Regarding the women 'taking over'. I have no problem with women pundits. I have no problem with them having even more exposure in the short term as a result of the national teams success. But I do feel that more women are getting shoe horned into pundit positions (in the mens game) to a point where its becoming far too noticable. If it was the other way round there would be hell on. Basically, the mens game should have 3 male to 1 female pundit ratio at the most. And vice versa for the female game. Given women pundits equal billing in the mens game as far as numbers is concerned is just ticking too many equal opportunities boxes to the point where it causes more divide and sexism. It doesnt bother me as such, I cant be arsed to listen to any pundits, male or female.

Spot on mate. I know of many women who aren't comfortable with it. The stupid bastards don't realise that the over egging they're engaged in is ultimately resulting in people, both male and female, swiching off.

There's a thread for this kind of discussion. Let's keep this one clear

Agree I am a woman and think as women make up 25-30% of fans, then maybe a 1 in 3 or 4 would be fair! Don't have a problem with women on football shows…….except for Lianne Sanderson. The voice! Ugh! Talks way too fast, has an awful accent and no matter which team are being discussed she always manages to bring it back to Arsenal! Bit like my father-in-law with Newcastle <doh>
Having said that there’s many male reporters that I’d happily volunteer to catapult into space.
