I've been very dismissive of the Stoke thing but at what point do we worry that a 9am press conference hasn't started by 9.30am... and the club have seemingly leaked two exciting signings this morning... the day after our manager is odds on favourite to join another club?

Safc tinted glasses on I don’t see any reason to leave what he has here to go to Stoke, even further from his family too

Don’t see why he’d leave us though. Stoke have done their business already. He’s got players he wanted here and more to come in within the next few days. There’s more expectation on Stoke than Sunderland this season and I genuinely think we’ll finish above them.

me neither mate. just the sunderland fan in me.

if stoke approached last night, then the way the club might be preparing with a PR fall out is to leak to a trusted press outlet news of two incomings...

Two news stories like that, before 9am, is mental. it felt too good to be true. which suggested leaked by the same side. and if its by the same side its from our side. and if we are leaking...

... man I hate being an over thinker :D

although I don't believe for a second he would leave...according the Stoke Sentinel (Their evening paper) AN is current 5/4 favourite

If I’ve learned anything following this club it’s always expect the worst haha

My ONLY other slight concern with Neil (and its slight) is that I'm pretty sure his family still live in the north west from his Preston days?
