Pritchard isn’t a centre midfielder, he’s a no.10. He shouldn’t be coming that deep to pick the ball up off the defence - if we play him in the middle we’d need a 3rd midfielder in there and to play without a no.10 similar to city’s formation.
Just been reading that James Garner had a good season at forest on loan from Man Utd, played 44 games and could go out on loan again. I'd prefer a bit more experience but is he someone we would go for... https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...ll-news/james-garner-man-united-loan-24583104
Would be a quality signing but I’d be surprised if they loan him to the championship again, he proved he was more than good enough for the division last year and won promotion.
Really can’t see Winchester getting much game time wouldn’t be surprised to see him moved on to be honest
100% agree with the folk saying we need another CM. We need another positionally strong CM imo, I've mentioned him a few times but Max Bird would be the one for me. He is young but has loads of experience, breaks up play well and is good in possession. A risky one from aboard I would love us to go for is a boy called Bartosz Slisz, young polish lad who has been in their senior squad, really strong CDM and still only 22 but played loads of games, including playing in europe for Legia. James Garner will not be loaned to a Championship club, heard all the new promoted sides want him on loan. Would be an unreal signing if we could get him.
Club still after 3 players. Full back, CM and Forward. We need them all IMO. Defo an athletic lad in the middle.
Max Bird is a cracking prospect (and would keep all the punsters happy now Parrott has signed elsewhere). Surely Derby would want £5m plus for him though?
Agree with those 3 positions, I'm confident we will get them in as well. AN knows how tough & physical the Championship is so I think he will want more presence in CM.
Yeah he wont come cheap after Derby got taken over but is worth a decent investment if he is available
Do you remember all those years where a blind man could see what the team needed and we would repeatedly not address it or show any inclination or want to address it. It's the most refreshing thing (though it should be a given) about the club for me since Speakman/KLD have come in. I keep looking at the team and thinking 'we need x,y,z' and the next thing you know we're bringing in or at least actively trying to bring in x,y,z. A proper recruitment team, with a proper recruitment strategy at last!
