Hopefully you're right and he does become captain, or at least a great player. But let's not get carried away we haven't seen him play yet
I'm becoming increasingly annoyed during this transfer window. It's ludicrous what we're doing. If We just acted li!s we did a couple of years back then no way would I be so naffed off with missing the first game of the season. On hols so I was Hoping for an away game first off rather than missing the first home game. If we make one more decent signing I think I'll go nuts.
I think we'll start with Alese, Batth and Ballard. Wright as backup for Batth.

The boy looks a talent we've got to fight tooth and nail to hang into them. At least we have a clear vision how we want the club to progress.
Could be, the problem with that is it probably leaves Alese out of the starting lineup and I doubt we signed him to do that. He seems like someone who we've signed to play and with Ballard and Batth being virtually guaranteed I reckon a back three is the best way. Cirkin at LWB and Hume/Huggins on the other side.
I think we'll end up with him and Ballard being our our 2 CB. Plus if you are going with 2 wing backs where does Roberts, Clarke and Pritchard all fit in.

I'd normally agree, but if he's got any sense he'll stay put. Purely because, let's be honest, with Newcastle's billions, there's slim to no chance he ever gets in their first team.
Whereas, we've had a steady stream of youngsters breaking through into the first team in the past few years. We will 100% be better for his development / future.
One of those head Vs heart decisions. I'd understand if he went, but it would be silly, imo.
Whatever. Does your head in this. We scout him, we sign him, we put the yard yards in, Newcastle sign him from us and he probably wastes away doing nothing much like most of the Chelsea kids!
