It's starting to take shape a little bit and atleast 3 more faces will need to come through the door but it's certainly a decent start

 

we need 3 defenders and at least 1 GK to stand a chance.

 

Richie Wellens has just had his contract cancelled by mutual consent. Mick might be interested in him again

 

It was Jewell who took him last time.

 

He played under Mick though and he wanted to keep him but Wellens got injured

I dont know whether Mick will want to sign him but im sure he will think about it

 

Good player in my eyes, probably a bit too old for micks current plan though. If it was me i would take a punt on him.

 

I agree Guru, I'd like to see us take a punt on him. Think our midfield could do with a bit more creativity and a playmaker, which Wellens is, a player to really dominate that midfield.

 

Yep, Wellens was the standout player in the team during his time here and that was without fitness. I know the rest of the team were shocking at that time. MM hadnt had a chance to wave his magic but even so he looked a class above. Might not be the youngest player around but a freebie and I cant believe his wage demands would be unrealistic. He seems very grounded so it shouldnt turn out like Bullard/ Bowyer if we were to sign him.

 

Wellens' wages was reasonable when Nigel signed him. Then Sven gave him a 20K a week contract

 

He'll get nowhere near that much anywhere else now.
Wish we'd known about this a couple of weeks back but we have filled our midfield and not sure if we have space for him now. Good player though and I wouldn't complain if he did join us.

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed that Bradley Orr will leave the club on loan today...

Could he be on his way back to us?? I know Jewell was the one to bring him in but MM kept him in the side..

 

If we have spare cash then it needs to get in someone who can score. Our defence may not be 100% but conceding an average of 1 goal per game we can live with. Not being able to score enough is our biggest issue at the moment
