I think it says we want 6.5. We'll get next to nothing, but we'll take it just to get the wages gone.

Has Jordan done Mutch for them? Can't say I've heard Mutch of him lately.

No. Only in Harry land. If he was any good, don't you think West Brom would offer more than £1.5 million so that he can at least warm their bench, provide some competition in the Beast department and teach the Bagies how to samba? It's not the QPR effect that makes them play ****e. It's the combination of a gullible owner and the waffle coming from Harry's mouth that made us spend millions on players who are frankly no better than the ones we bought from the lower leagues last season

Sandro was and is pretty good and better than the lower league competition he had with us. But only when he was fit, lack of which makes buying him a risk for any Club.

Yes I agree but the difficulty however is the value to place on someone who at his best was no more than average or decent but who can't be arsed 40% of the time and is unfit for 40%. We have had poor value for our investment of £6-8 million, sorry I mean "undisclosed fee" . We have had better value from the paltry investment by comparison in Chery, Luongo, Hall, Smithies, Ingram and our BFG.

Taarabt, had he been managed properly and had he ever grown up beyond the mental age of a tantruming toddler, had the ability to make a difference in games. He just couldn't be bothered most of the time. Sandro has never had that match winning ability. And before anyone tells me that he is a different sort of player, he was outshone as a DCM by Henry who undoubtedly less talented at least did what he was asked to do and on the whole competently.

The first thing any manager needs to be able to work out is to decide whether a player wants to play in his team. That is the difference between the Sandros and Taarabts of this world and the crop of younger players we have bought recently. It's exactly like dear Jimmy Bullard - a player who had a good couple of years at Wigan and Hull made the mistake of signing him on such good terms and at such an inflated price that they almost went bust. Does that remind us of anyone?

I wonder if in future the club will learn to agree prices which rise by instalments so that the seller only gets the full price if we have had a decent return. Clauses in their contract to reduce their pay in the event of relegation would do wonders to sharpen their attitude.

Never saw Sandro play live, but from the TV cover he looked like he wanted to play in the few games when he got on the pitch.

Saw him a few times (well there weren't that many times in total). He looked like his confidence was shot after his injury at Spurs, may have been a good player some time ago, and one of those who if he did his job well you wouldn't notice him anyway. But it was almost as if he was expecting to get injured, half a yard off the pace, which is of course precisely where you do get injured.

On BBC gossip page today - Sunderland are tracking QPR defender Steven Caulker, 24, who is available for £4.5m and Borussia Dortmund Nevan Subotic, 27, who could be available on a season-long loan deal. (Sunderland Echo).

See that Steve Bruce doesn't like his chances of staying with Hull.
For me, I really didn't want to bring in another manager as yet BUT .................. depends on how TF and the board think and whether
they want to give themselves the best chance of promotion.
Anyway, as mentioned, I'm ok with JFH and if the truth be known, I'd be more worried about TF funding for new players than JFH at present.

Let's hope whatever team he chooses, he actually decides to play football and try and have a successful career rather than head to the clubs and bar in the city

I don't care if he does come good for them Beth.

He wouldn't for us, so please go & go quickly. I can't believe that we are likely to get that fee for him!

I always thought there was a half decent player in there somewhere, maybe another victim of the W12 black hole!

Hoops. That wonderful player also failed to get out at Southampton and Liverpool too. It is not just us
