Only shop in South Cave, good one too. Used to shop there when visiting my mum, who lived in South Cave. Did lovely ham and sausage rolls etc.
I'd love to see Tom back, but after being released by Derby and unable to find another club for a year, well something was obviously wrong. As has been said already, I'd love see him in a coaching role for us. I remember a couple of our players in one of those quick fire Q&A things," who in the squad would be most suited to go into coaching/management"? and they both instantly replied Tom "He's a really big on tactics and coaching, definitely Tom". Another thing I remember about Tom, is he loved Hull, not just the club, the but city itself. As for the question of wages, well he hasn't even had a club for a year, so surely he'd be happy to take a reasonable wage?
There are lots of players who come back after a year and thats invariably after a serious injury... as the saying goes 'class is permanent'.... the key was what has been said about everyone's respect when he came into training... we've always said we need a leader on the pitch for the youngsters especially, if we cant have one on the pitch, the second best option is surely one off it...
Gone downhill rapidly of late... all the usual management team, have left for various reasons... freezer cabinets have been broken for 2 weeks...
To be fair, haven't been in for a few years, since my mum passed. That's a shame if it's going downhill as it used to be good.
It’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination. Chillers breaking down happens, still decent and it’s only a few minutes away for us. They provided a good service for South Cave residents during various lockdowns.
True enough GLP, but that was all down to the girls that managed it and Oliver it was zilch to do with the owners... the girls have left!!
By the sound of it I think everyone's terrified of GLP and his cycling habits. That,or the bionic arm stretching across the counter...They think he's the Terminator!!
No pronation at all. I have supination which is palm of the hand rotating to face the ceiling. No feeling down my thumb, little finger and forearm - that might return, but could take up to two years apparently, nerves take a long time to heal. Lots of other movement that I struggle with and I really have to think about to make it happen. Right now it’s probably as good as it’s going to get. Solicitor thinks it is too so we’re cracking on with that process now. Funny really how you take being able to do simple chores for granted. Now I have to really think about different ways to do certain jobs, not impossible and there’s people far worse off.
I was at school with Ian. I don't think he'll ever leave. In the years I smoked I always had the same cigs and every time he got the wrong packet. Every. Damn. Time.
He’s a legend. If ever we’re passing him when he’s walking from North Cave we always stop to give him a lift. I always thought he should get a bike…on the other hand he’s probably safer walking
Possibly, not sure he’s socially awkward. He’s really pleasant and always very polite. Walks from North Cave and back for every shift whatever the time.
