I used to think this was more light hearted than over the road. Maybe I was wrong
I remember back in the summer when I said that things would be completely different. Unlike anything we have done before. A true culture shift in approach and a future that really safeguards the club.
The signings and ambitions have shown that. Top young players from PL academies that are not getting their games, we are stealing in, using data to highlight the best talent and giving them an opportunity to really show their potential.
Safeguarding with long term deals so if and when they perform to said data metrics , the club is protected and a big fee would be needed, if we ever wanted to sell.
Now, just compare that to SD and CM approach with previous academy set up.
We are in good hands.

I'd like to think that KLD has been asking them to chip in their %age for each signing, and they're now getting a bit nervy as the job becomes a bit more pricey, and hey presto Mrs LD appears at the Wigan game and offers to take that burden off them. If Carlsberg did happy endings.........
Owen Dale in, Manonne in, Grigg out and Kyrils mam on the board is what I'm thinking.

I think the major key here is that even if it doesn't quite work out this season, we need to be patient and let these young lads develop. Add more quality of the same ilk to it and then when they do come good you have lads that can step up and have the potential to take the club back to the PL.
Theres been none of that up until this summer, but its great to see that this is the way we're wanting to go. Its taken some time to see the tide turning but I'm hoping this is the real start of it.
